What to Expect

Preparation:

  • Pressure wash and scrap any loose paint

  • Drop cloths will catch loose paint, whatever they don’t catch we will clean up before the end of your project

  • All exterior features will be removed (shutters, downspouts, storm windows, decorations)

  • All furniture will be moved or covered

  • Masking: windows, doors, light fixtures, walk ways will be covered

Process:

  • Wood Surfaces: primed with oil based primer; this will help preserve the wood & ensures the topcoat will adhere

  • Aluminum Surfaces: washed and scrubbed with an eco-friendly cleaner; this will ensure all “chalky residue” is removed, allowing topcoat to adhere

  • Caulking: exterior grade, will shrink and swell with the crazy changing temperatures; this will remain crack resistant

  • Paint Product: Locally owned and operated Trio Paint or Sherwin Williams. Both are exterior grade, fade & moisture resistant, and hold up well to our Michigan weather

  • Paint Application: Large surfaces will be sprayed; Small surfaces will be done by hand; All surfaces receive minimum 2 coats

Additional Notes:

  • Clean Up: we will do any necessary clean up to your yard

  • Extra Paint: Clearly labeled and left for your future use or touch-ups
